FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:

ARE STAINLESS STEEL DRINKING STRAWS SAFE?

YES! Reusable stainless steel drinking straws are safe for use by responsible adults. Switching to reusable straws helps keep plastic straws out of our oceans and landfill each year.

BPA FREE STRAWS

Metal straws do not leach Bisphenol A (BPA) into your drinks. BPA is an industrial chemical which has been used in the production of certain plastics and resin since the 1960s. Some scientific research has shown that plastic products made with BPA can leach into food or beverages, with potential impacts on your health. Avoiding products containing BPA is one way of reducing your exposure. Our products are safe and completely BPA free.

STAINLESS STEEL STRAWS ARE REUSABLE AND RECYCLABLE

Stainless steel straws are durable and can be reused over and over again. This makes them a better choice for the environment in comparison to single-use plastic straws. If these straws ever reach the end of their useful life, stainless steel is the most recycled material on earth.

PREMIUM QUALITY

Our straws are made of high quality 18/8 stainless steel. This 304 food grade stainless steel is corrosion-resistant. It will not degrade over time leaching a metallic taste or absorb flavors from previous drinks.

PROTECT YOUR PEARLY WHITES

Help prevent rich coloured drinks, tea, coffee and wine or acidic drinks from staining your teeth by using a straw.

EASY TO CLEAN

Our metal straws are dishwasher safe making them easy to clean and sterilize. Food grade stainless steel won’t rust. We also provide a free cleaning brush for the inside of your straws.

WILL NOT BEND OR BREAK

Our metal straws are rounded at the tips to avoid sharp edges, so they are perfectly safe for use. However, unlike plastic straws, metal straws will not bend or break. It’s important to remember that they are not as flexible as single use paper or plastic straws are during use.

DO NOT USE WHILE DISTRACTED

Since they will not bend during use, we advise that metal straws should not be used when walking, driving or operating machinery.
